Its a girl!

My fiance called on Friday to tell me he was going to get a pet this weeked. I thought it was nice of him to ask, seeing as he is in the military so I will be the one taking care of the pet while he is out at sea.

Early the next morning he calls again to report that he is now the proud owner of a four month old, female, albino hedgehog. She lives in a big glass fish tank, under a small carved out piece of log, and eats cat food and mealworms. Interesting little nocturnal creatures.

Anyway, on her first day home, she met the springy door stopper. Like she does when anything frightens her, she rolled up into a ball and stuck all of her spines straight up at it. Only when it is safe does she dare unroll herself to try to meet the door stopper again. (It took eight times before she gave up and climbed over it.)

In any case, if you hadn't noticed, I have been referring to her as "she" because she still does not have a name. Any ideas? (please dont say spike, spiny, prickles, or velco....they're way over used)
